Hello all
We design the trusses by assuming the support conditions
as one end pinned & other roller.
If we design the columns, by assuming tied together at top by trusses
thus having the cantilever deflection of all the columns at top to be
equal.
(As suggested by SP 38 too)
My question is how the truss will be able to transfer hor. force to the
columns as one end of the truss is considered to be roller.
It can transfer hor. force to the col. at the end, which is considered as
pinned.
