Dear Friends,

Judging by the mood of the initial few messages, I can sense a consensus that the IS Codes are NOT geared for the new century!!!

I would like to understand why and how we can help change it!!!!!

Could someone explain what is the role of BIS?

How are the committees formed?

How do the Codes get passed the way they are written (when quite a few
are unhappy about it!) and

who decides when to revise a code?

This will give us (me atleast) some understanding as to where the problem is!
