dear shri .v.p.agarwal,
i think we must appreciate the effort taken by
sefi.after having finalised the p.e draft ,eci is
going to ask the professional societies to take over the task of engineers registration and maintaining the records in theirrespective discipline .ECI is a confederation of professional societies not a individual body,in that situation sefi maybe well prepared to face the registration of professional engineers (in structures).the same model may be useful to set criteria for other discipline like geotechnical engineering, infomation technology, communication,construction management etc.,

i hope many engineers will join in CONSULTING ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA as it is affiliated
to FIDIC.

also i would like to congratulate WSSI, for having organised a WORKSHOP ON EARTH QUAKE and related issues in dec 4th and 5th of dec 2002.i enjoyed all the(democratic) session, i think this was the only conferece the oganisers given enough time for all participants to express their views.please keep it up.
