The documentation suggested is indeed a step in the right direction, can
it not be made mandatory,I mean we must include information on the type
of EQ analysis carried out as also the EQ parameters and
coefficients/spectrum etc adopted so as to discourage construction of
non-engineered bldgs at large.

After doing through the previous days mails I found out that some points
were repeated by me in my first mail, but they are important.

I feel all should provide constructuve comments so that draft can be
improved further.


Part -2

1. Documentation:
It would probably be most meaningful to insist for proper documentaion
from
the agency strengthening the building for creating a proper data base
for
building census.

2. Forms:
Proper forms to be included in the code. This will help in data
collectioin
in systematic manner. Reference can be had from FEMA and suitable
changes
incarporated to Indian conditions.

3. A Useful data base:
A data base case wise explaining most common causes for strengthening
and
probable remedies can be included in Annexure. There has been part
effort in
commentaries.
