Dear Sir,

1. Iam Working for Hydro Power Projects, in which I have a 1m thick wall and Column 0.8x0.8m having Height of around 12m which is coming over Plumb Concrete of Grade M10/M15. Shall I need to calculate foundation size or can erect directly leaving Dowels from Plumb Concrete.
2. I have Pier of 2m thick which is getting designed for maximum load cases for Main Vertical Reinforcement and provided the same. For Distribution reinforcement is there any provision that I can reduce min. reinforcement below 0.12% of Gross Cross sectional area as per IS 456.checkd the same in ACI 318Clause: 14.3.4 can I get same clause in any indian code.


Please Suggest me ASAP.
