Dear Mr.Jagadeesh, You can design as verendeel Girder with COmposite action of Brick and concrete for low bearing capacity soil. Please check the book on" FUNDAMENTAL OF REINFORCED AND PRESTREESED CONCRETE BY ENG.M.HILAL" where it is suggested and used Verendeel girder for a low B.C soil.

I am designing a multistory building, and SBC is only 10 t/m2 at 3m below ground level. All my footings are overlapping if i go isolated footing. Can i go for combined footing for 8 columns like a strip footing. Please let me know.
