You have not mentioned if the BC of 10 t/m2 is the net allowable BC or the ultimate BC..If it is ultimate and the unit weight of soil is 1.8 t/m3, then we need to deduct 1.8*3 = 5.4 t/m2 from 10 t/m2. Thus the combined footing shall be sized for just 4.6 t/m2 which looks difficult to me. Regards Ameet

Please clarify my questions
I am designing a multistory building, and SBC is only 10 t/m2 at 3m below ground level. All my footings are overlapping if i go isolated footing. Can i go for combined footing for 8 columns like a strip footing. Please let me know.
