Dear Mr.Subramanian

Thank you very much for your valuable openion,
the crsusher sand, i meant is the one which we can get from the granite stone crusher, we are getting coarse aggregate from crusher, then why cant we use the fine aggregate is also from the same manufacturer.
the reason for this discussion is, in south india, especially kerala, people are depending rivers for fine aggregate, becouse of this reason, the natural water table is depleating, and there are many other environmental problems associated with this sand extraction from the river.
if we can avoid river sand by using manufactured sand, then at least we the structural engineering community can contribute much in sustainability.and save for futer generations.

Mr Arafath,

In Coimbatore, we use the manufactured sand that you mean and its use is
becoming more by the day. We are cautious on using it for concrete though.
However, as mortar we are quite satisfied. In future, after testing, we will
try using for concrete.
