Dear all,
I am trying to design a pile supported raft foundation in Staad foundation advanced.I imported original staad pro model in staad foundation.Now after analysing the model punching shear failure is happening under 4 columns. interestingly nodal displacement of mesh in this punching shear failure zone is +ve, whereas in other area it is -ve. Is this phenomenon corelated?
If anyone can shed light why punching shear failure is happening & its remedy.
