Hello everybody
i need the Crane Bridge self weight, Crab weight based on lift capacity and Span of the Crane Bridge.
这是需要设计whi的吊车梁ch this bridge will run.
BTW I will be designing the crane girder using Prabhakar Sir's Excel Design sheet,
There are few companies giving the data sheet but not to a designer's satisfication
I am also attaching such sheet by Moris Crane company, if anyone has better data please upload on this site

Best is to get quote of crane supplier. Or from crane supplier one can get exact details for better use. Optional is Steel Designer’s Manual in earlier days had the best reference chart.
Gantry Design has to satisfy needs from manufacturer to requirement such as :
1. Max. Load lift capacity : 20 T
2. Crane Span :
3. Weight of crab: 1/5 of lifting
capacity plus 5 kN.
4. Weight of crane bridge : 10 to
12 MT. (Single / double girder)
5. Spacing of wheel : 1.2 m
6. End clearance from crane : 600
mm.
7. Min. Head room from rail top :
4500 mm.
8. Rail type and weight : 0.5 kN/m
Height of crane rail : 100 mm
9. Min. Hook approach : 600 mm 10. Weight of cables :

The crane bridge self weight and crab weight varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
It is better to fix the crane vendor and then use the values given by them.
莫里斯是一个很好的机构。你可以采用高10%forces and carryout the design. This will generally result in a proper design. But, after the crane vendor has been fixed, the design shall be checked with the loads given by the vendor

Contacting the Crane Manufacturer is the issue in India, Most these guys do not have any such table they go by rule of thumb and
honestly I doubt most of them ever Design what they sell, they just do it based on experience, I have spoken to many manufactures they just do not have any science behind their answers, just from experience,
We need authentic calculations, but 80% of them do not know the analysis & design concept at all JUST RAW AND BRUT force / EXPERIENCE |
