Is it possible to start e-conference on the following topics:

1. SEISMIC DESIGN OF RCC STRUCTURES.
2. SEISMIC DESIGN OF STEEL STRUCTURES.
3. DETAILING OF R.C.C STRUCTURES.
4. FOUNDATIONS EPSECIALLY RAFT (MAT) AND PILE FOUNDATIONS.

May be seniors can add more topics.

Sir,

Sure its possible. Once we have resource persons agreed for moderation and guidance we can have it.

I would like you to contact renowed sefi members or non members in your knowledge whould be willing to act as resource persons to guide community during e-conf it shall be first step in getting readied for the e-conf.

So first step goes in identify such resources around then have a word with them, if they are sefi members you can contact via SEFI.

Once things are ready we will make technical arrangements to conduct the event.

Ofcoure without your active co-ordination , at this time it may not be feasible for SEFI to do it.

Dr. Sudhir jain, Proff. A.S. Arya, Dr. Murthy and like minded can be contacted for moderation. They have been interacting earlier also in this forum. But as suggested by Dear Rangarajan, the e-confornace on this topic can help very much.

I sure will be discussing this. We expect it to be around 26 th Jan, the founding Day of SEFI in 2003.
Will update the fourum once we have concrete inputs.
Though its hard to for them to find time, lets hope we will be able to do it.
Can you suggest more names, as resource persons? So that the e-conf will be yet richer experience.

I think Dr Yogendra Singh and Dr Manish Shrikhande from Dept of Earthquake Engineering, IIT Roorkee (if available) can add value to conference.

Both are among best professors I saw in my academic life.
