It is shocking for the whole world
It is the duty of every one to awake from the darkness
It is impossible to fight nature but protection can be assured

Its the time to act. This is the time to give our countrymen a helping hand. Some nodal body should organize Structural Engineers to go there after the relief operations are over to assess damage to structures. People generally don't want to move back into their homes--we have to allay their fears--by using our assessment system (ref Prof Arya's system or ATC etc.). Structural engineers should volunteer their time however govt or NGO's should sponsor the trip and organize temporary accomodation in affected areas.
