I am still unable to follow , what you are trying to say--

1) Now, we have the tension zone.Right?
2) The concrete there cracks and the steel there has yielded(say the stress in steel is (+415).Right?
3)The load is reversed.
4)The above zone becomes compression zone and then above steel becomes the compression steel.Right?
5)As the compression is increased the stress from +415 comes to 0 and then only becomes -415.Right?
6)That is yielding of steel in compression.Right?
7)Does it mean the crack formed in (2) above will close only at this point?

[quote]The Bonding of concrete with steel/ yields,

When crack occurs in a state mentioned below by u, the yielded steel of
addnl length at crack (may be of micro scale) cant be expected to retain it
position in normal way, to attain this the force should of such a magnitude
as to slip the steel (as i feel curtailed ones), n if crack is wide enough
and if small dia bars used may deflect locally because of slender effect /
if large dia bars then may deflect (i feel uncomfortable 2 call as yielding)
due to restrain in slip by end anchorage. There is good bond b/w Reinf and
conc.
