The new OpenSees Examples Manual has been released:
http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/manuals/ExamplesManual/HTML/
This new version has an extensive library of example scripts, ranging from simple input files, to more versatile model-building and analysis scripts.
The following are a few of the many OpenSees features demonstrated in the examples: * use of variables * definition and use of units * separate model-building and analysis files * use previously-defined procedures to simplify input * introduce procedure to read database input motion files * 2D & 3D frames with fixed numbers of stories and bays * 2D & 3D frames with variable number of stories and bays * automated generation of nodes and elements * graphical display of model: nodes, mode shape, and deformed shape
The following types of analyses are also demonstrated in the examples: * static pushover analysis * static reversed cyclic analysis * dynamic sine-wave input analysis (uniform excitation) * dynamic earthquake-input analysis (uniform excitation) * dynamic sine-wave input analysis (multiple-support excitation) * dynamic earthquake-input analysis (multiple-support excitation) * dynamic bidirectional earthquake-input analysis (uniform excitation)
