Dear Jagadeesh,

We very often come accross this situation in lower Gangetic region. If SBC is only
10 t/m2 at 3m below ground level, I assume the SBC at 1m depth wil be 3T/M2. Also the number of column is only 8. So it will never be uneconomic to provide rigid raft foundation and support the 8 columns on it.
